Dear Friends in Christ,

Have you ever wondered: "Why was I born?" "For what purpose was I born?" or "What is the meaning of my life? How can I discover that meaning?”

The first chapter of the Catechism of the Catholic Church mentions that the desire for God is written in the human heart, because it is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw it to himself. Only in God will the human heart find truth and happiness for which it never stops searching. Human dignity rests above all on the fact that each person is called to be in communion with God.

If we simply read through the teachings of the Church, we will not fully understand what God wants of us.  Moreover, in a society that keeps evolving, we are faced with too many secular trends, the untruthful media, the many noisy but deeply unsatisfactory parties.  And so we are caught up in the tornadoes of the era from which we could not free ourselves.

SO WHAT SHOULD WE DO? The answer is: we must "PAUSE," as the author of the book "Pause" wrote that if we only keep going without pausing, we will not have time to learn the needs of the soul. Only when we pause, will we be able to be aware of our human nature, our presence and mission on earth. Above all, we will find God, Who is Love, pure and everlasting. Then, HAPPINESS is waiting for us.

So, we invite you to PAUSE and BE with the living God during the events that are hosted by the QuiNhon Missionary Sisters of the Holy Cross - United States Province:

  • COME and PRAY: On the first Sunday of each month from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm
  • COME and SEE:  A 3-day weekend retreat in June and December

During intimate moments of prayer with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and under the guidance of priests and the Sisters, you will have a chance to discover God-inspired directions of your lives, the true meanings of your presence in the world, and above all, the life-changing reality that GOD is LOVE.
The Sisters heartily welcome you and look forward to sharing the joy of their consecrated life with you.

Yours in Christ,
